Although Bubwith YLTA Tennis Club was founded many years ago, it has been on its present site since 1963. The club has approximately 100 members.
Throughout the season we have Ladies, Men's and Junior coaching sessions as well as Club Nights and regular Handicap Tournaments.
At present there are 6 teams in the York and District League, 2 Mens, 2 Ladies and 2 Mixed.
We hold regular social events throughout the year eg. Barn Dances, Wine Tasting and a Beer Festival in the village.
We are sponsored by The Boot and Shoe at Ellerton and The Jug and Bottle at Bubwith.

Mission Statment:

- Provide and maintain three quality courts and facilities for the enjoyment of tennis by people of all ages and standards at affordable prices
- Make an average annual contribution of £2,500.00 in accordance with the 15 year financial plan.
- Encourage people to start playing tennis
- Aid a sense of community spirit and social camaraderie
- Assist improvement in playing standards
- Provide competitive play for those who want it at as high a level as possible
- Have 100 members by July 31st 2009
- Increase the active participation of members in the management of, and fundraising activities for, the Club
